Hi There!
I Thought we should tell you a little about Denheath, how we started and where we are now!
Donald and I have been running Denheath Desserts since October 1999.
Previously we manufactured in "The Old Post Office Cafe" in Pleasant Point. The opportunity arose to move Denheath Desserts to a purpose built manufacturing plant in Timaru in November 2000. At that time the old post office cafe (Denheath House) was leased out and later sold.
Donald and I took over the business because my mother became terminally ill. At the time Donald was a professional musician and we had recently had our first baby together (Majick). My mum was able to finish work, sort out her affairs and have some quality family time, until she passed away in July 2000.
With huge support from Donald's Parents and older children we have been able to grow the business over the past seven years.
Initially we started as a single product company with the iconic "Original Custard Square". But since then we have developed other decadent goodies and continue to do so. Donald is innovative in his approach, with a unique enthusiasm that is catchy and I have a real passion for food (both preparing it and eating it!)
In 2005 we added a blast freezing to our manufacturing processes. And now have the advantage of being able to sell high quality frozen product as well as fresh.
We are proud to be supplying distributors in most main centres. Please contact Denheath on home@denheath.co.nz
We are also proud to comply with the Halal Food processes for our Denheath Custard E Squares (The Worlds only Square Eclair) and with our cheesecakes. We are Certified by the New Zealand Islamic Processed Food Management. We are inspected and audited annually.
Denheath prides itself on quality and operate with an NZFA approved food safety programme and are HACCP Certified.
Denheath's range is used for various occasions from E-square or Custard Square wedding cakes, custard and cheesecake birthday cakes, office shouts, funerals and even as on board food for airlines.
